Hello World!

Well, hello there!

Come in, come in! Welcome to my shiny new blog. I have had lots of shiny new spaces on the internet recently. Like a pheonix reborn from the ashes, Mimi Whimsy sprung from the fertile ground born of the dust of a lifetime career brought to a close. (What career? The title of the post is a mighty good hint.)

Endings and beginnings, trials, terminations and transitions. Life is ever changing. That can be good or bad depending on ones perspective. Being an optimist, I definitely view it as a positive.

Even the darkest of times glow back to light. With patience.

I have been blessed that most of my life has been lived in those cheery, bright and sunny morning hours. I have an amazing husband. I has family close to me: by blood and bond. Today, I am in excellent health. I have much to be thankful for: plenty of food, bills paid, comfortable temperature, running cold and hot water. A place to write and think and create.

Aye, fortunate I am.

And with this little spot ‘o the digital world, I would like to capture moments of my life and creations in a single spot. Personally, this will help me make sure I live a well-examined life that is easy to re-examine and remember.

And my hope is that I can bring a bit of light, laughter, and a bit of learning to the world!
